Budgies/First time love bird parrents

Question
Hello Kyle, i am a little confused about who to ask these questions and i know that on your profile you specify that you deal with budgies but i thought that love birds also have some of the same charactreistics, i hope that you will be able to answer some of my questions.

I have two love birds, one is 3 years "Marco" and the other is 9 months "Lola". Lola has already shown signs of wanting to nest. They have been mating for about two weeks now (male feeding female, rubbing vents etc). I have noticed Lola going through various hormonal changes; she seems a little sluggish, wanting more food than usual plus allot of regurgitating, warm around belly and feet.
I have provided a nest box inside the upper part of the cage. As well i am feeding the pair lots of greens, fruit, proteins, a little seed; etc... My main concern right now is whether or not Lola knows what she is doing.
Does she know how to lay an egg? is aggressiveness towards her mate normal (squawking and trying to bite)? Also i have noticed that when i touch her belly it feels kinda hard, and she also is starting to tuck paper shreds under her wings.
"I probably sound like I'm babbling now but I'm just a little worried cause this is my first time too"

I am planning on letting Lola raise one baby along with my interventions, I need to know a little about this as well.

Thank you; and i hope that you will help me find the answers to the many questions about my Loves.

Answer
Hello Christina,
I'm sorry but ive never had Love Birds before. Its not something I specify in. I dont want to give you false information either. [[They actualy kick people off of here for that!]]

Try asking your question on www.answers.yahoo.com in the pet section under birds. There are a lot of people who are on there that specialize in love birds.

Good Luck!
