Budgies/Ferocious Budgies

Question
I have 2 budgies, both male and female, I got the female just yesterday, and the male about 2 weeks ago, and the male seems to be ferocious, it bites me a lot, and I'm starting to get bruises. It used to have a male friend, but he died for some reason. The biting didn't hurt as much until I introduced the female budgie into the cage, I think they're both around 4 months old. The female budgie also bites a lot, one of them is all blue, the other is all white with a blue stomach. I'm trying to get the male budgie to stop biting, but nothing seems to be working, is there anything I could do?

Answer
Hi, Dave,

I'm sorry I'm late answering your question.  I've been sick and in the hospital.

Obviously, your birds aren't tame!  Adding a second bird complicates the situation because birds prefer other birds to humans.  In addition, since you haven't had these birds very long, they need time to settle down and get used to their new environment and get to know you a little bit more.  In order to stop the biting, your birds need to be tamed down, which takes much time and patence.  Visit my website for more information:  www.angelfire.com/falcon/birdinfo/index.html

Also, www.birdchannel.com is a good website.
