hi!
my birds mated and had babies.one was young and still had baby feathers and came out. i carried him back in the nestbox but he came out today. i had to carry him 2 times. why is he coming out so young? is something wrong?

Hello Katelyn, thanks for posting!
The budgie isn't coming out too soon, and he/she is probably just curious. You said that this baby had feathers, well as long as the baby isn't completely bald, then he/she will be fine in the cage. If the baby somehow escapes from the cage, quickly take it back, but there's nothing to worry about. The baby probably will return to the nesting box to sleep with it's mother and the other babies.

Yes it's fine to put then back in, but there is no need to. They are simply curious and will keep coming back out to look about. The mother will still care for them. Just make sure the room in which your budgies are doesn't get too cold, after all, they haven't developed all their feathers yet.

AnswerWell the budgies I have are in the living room. One this you have to know about budgies is they are Australian. They like warm temp. Not really hot, but just warm. Garages usually are kind of chilly, but not all. Just go in and see for yourself if it is room-temperature. Congratulations on the baby budgies.
