Budgies/My budgies are fighting

Question
Hi, I just recently got two budgies. Apparently one of the budgies was a much older female compared to the other baby budgie who's gender I cannot tell yet. The older one keeps pushing, pecking, and clawing the baby budgie. It keeps putting it's claw on it's wing. Now the baby is powerless, it has not learned to fight yet, so is there any other way to stop them from fighting besides returning the ferocoius famale to the pet store? Thanks! Please reply.

Answer
Hi, Mustafa.

You can separate these birds into individual cages until the young one grows up more and is better able to defend itself against the older one.  In addition, if both of these birds are female, this could explain why the older one is picking on the younger one...lots of female budgies don't get along with each other.
