Follow-Ups to Answer from Expert Amber

yeah, i have the same problem. I just bought a hand-raised baby parakeet. He is a male. He can be a real sweetie at times. Recently, however, he always used to try to bite me when i wanted him to perch on my finger. I realized that perhaps my bird didn't trust me. When he bit me i would flinch and draw back and he must have thought my perch wasn't safe. So now, when he bites me, i dont react so that he knows that my perch is stable and safe. Hope this helps. God Bless!!
