Question
i just bought my budgies on Saturday this morning ( Wednesday) i saw an egg in the cage. I don't have a nest box, what should i do with this egg? what can i use as a substitute until i get one? Please respond assp.because she is not sitting on the egg.

Answer
Hi, Jenelle,

What are the sexes of your new birds?  How old are your new birds?  Whom did you purchase them from (pet store, breeder, etc.)?  Have you seen your new birds mating?

Don't do anything with the egg until I respond to you after you send me the above information.  Most birds don't start incubating their eggs until the second egg is laid so not to worry just yet!

Thanks.
