I heard that Jimmy Buffett and Harrison Ford are good friends and that Buffett is the one that encouraged Ford to get his ears pierced. Is this true? Thank you.

That's true.  Jimmy Buffett and Harrison Ford are good friends.  Rumor
has it that Jimmy, Harrison and Ed Bradley (of "60 Minutes" fame) met for lunch one day and convinced Harrison to get his ear pierced (Ed and Jimmy already had earrings.)
