Question
QUESTION: I was wondering if I could get the name of the song at the end of the episode from Season 2 of Buffy The Vampire Slayer When She Was Bad.I love that song and I was hoping that I could put this song on my play list.I have a few of the Buffy songs on my play list and I was wondering if I could get all the songs from all the seasons of Buffy.I just started watching Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

ANSWER: Hello Tina,

I think the song you might be referring to is "It Doesn't Matter" by Alison Krauss. The best way to be 100% sure is to watch the show on DVD with the subtitle settings on. That way, the subtitles will display who is singing and the song title.

Hope this helps.

Josh.

QUESTION: There is a really pretty song at the end of the episode of the episode "WHEN SHE WAS BAD" it is the end scene where Willow,Xander, and Buffy are in the Classroom sitting at their desks talking. There is a song playing while they are talking what song is that. Can you find me the name of the song at the end of the episode then get back to me with the name of the song.Do you think you find me the list of all the songs from just Seasons 1-3 of Buffy The Vampire Slayer?

ANSWER: Hello Tina,

Ok, I've watched the show twice now and scanned every inch of the credits, and I have to come to the conclusion that the music wasn't actually music performed by a band, but rather soundtrack comprised entirely from the music producer himself. The reason why I say this is because there are only two 'official' listed songs for the episode, which are:

   * Alison Krauss and Union Station - "It Doesn't Matter" (From the BtVS Soundtrack, TVT Records, 1999; and So Long, So Wrong, Rounder Records, 1997)
Starts playing as Angel leaves Buffy's bedroom after his cryptic warning, and continues into the scene in which Buffy's mother drives a taciturn Buffy to school.

* Cibo Matto - "Spoon" (From Super Relax EP, Warner Bros. Records, 1997) and "Sugar Water" (From Viva! La Woman, Warner Bros. Records, 1997)
Cibo Matto is the band onstage in the Bronze. They play "Spoon" first, while Willow and Xander wait for Buffy's arrival, and then play "Sugar Water" when Buffy leads Xander onto the dance floor for her sexy dance.

As for a list of songs for the episodes, the best website I could find that had any real authority on that is this one:

http://www.buffyguide.com/

It may not be the best looking site of them all, but it's usually the most accurate in terms of the things you would want to know episode by episode.

Hope this helps!

QUESTION: Buffy the Vampire Slayer: When She Was Bad
It is at the very end of the episode "WHEN SHE WAS BAD" Buffy and her friends are in the Ware House and Buffy smashes the bones of the demon Buffy walks inside the classroom and says Hi to Willow and Xander.
Willow: Hi Buffy.
The song starts when Buffy walks into the classroom and sits down at the desk next to her friends Willow and Xander.
Buffy:Hey.
Willow: We Saved you a seat. Buffy sits down next to her friend Willow and Xander.
Xander:I heard there is a rumor going around that Mr.Cox is the most boring teacher in the entire world.Xander: (about Mr. Cox) I think he won a belt or something. (for being boring)
Buffy:Like,yes.
Willow:I hear he nods off a lot, so that is a plus
Xander: So, we Bronzin' it tonight?
Willow: Wednesdays, kinda beat.
Xander: Well, we could grind our enemies into talcum powder with a sledgehammer, but, gosh, we did that last night.
Xander:Hey, I got a plan.How about Miniature Golf?
Willow: There is no course here.
Xander: Okay. Miniature Tennis.
At the end of this episode there is a song that is playing and continues through out the last part of the episode until the kid that is the Ware House says "I hate that girl" and then there the ending and has all the actors and the producer of Buffy The Vampire. The Buffy theme is playing at the end of this episode.
I hope this helps a little bit better.I have included the quotes from the end of the episode and where the song starts and ends.Let me if this helps or not.

Answer
Hello again Tina,

I don't think there is any actual song TITLE for the music you're interested in. As I said before, I believe that the soundtrack producer simply got his usual band for it and made a small 45 second sound bite for that particular scene. It doesn't have a name because it's not a actual song per se: it's simply a particular sound that was created for the actual scene.

I know it's frustrating, but I'm very certian that the music was simply created as a 'one off' piece of music for that particular scene.

HOWEVER, I may have something for you to follow up on in case this particular sound appeals to you. I managed to track down the people responsible for the specific music of the episode, so there is a good chance that if you follow the links below, perhaps they might lead you to the particular sound you like. I'm grasping at straws here: there isn't anything I can pinpoint for you about it because it's not an 'official' song.

Original Music by Christophe Beck

Music Department: Fernand Bos

Good Luck!
