Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Slayer Activation

Question
When Buffy died at the end of Season 1 (only to be resuscitated), Kendra was activated thanks to the activation loophole. I got that. Then, when Kendra was killed, Faith was activated. Again, got it so far. Now, my question is this: when Buffy died at the end of Season 5, why wasn't a new Slayer activated to take her place so that, as of the beginning of Season 6, there would be three Slayers running around (counting resurrected Buffy, Faith, and the would-be activated Slayer)?

Answer
Because Buffy was not the actual slayer after she died in season 1 and Kendra was called. Although Buffy carried on being the slayer after she came back to life it technically wasn't her job anymore but the job of the next called slayer. And so when Kendra (the official slayer) died, Faith was called and therefore when Buffy died again a new slayer was not activated because she wasn't the official slayer...it was still Faith. Hope that answers your question
