In the second season why does spike need to find a cure for Drusilla
Drusilla was attacked by an angry mob before we first meet Spike and Drusilla and the experience left her weakened. While vampires cannot die in Whedon's reality unless beheaded/staked etc they can be injured and even crippled. They will recover but it takes time (sometimes a lot of time) and in the meantime the vampire is very vulnerable.
