Season 3, the episode was called "Amends". Angel appeared to be going crazy, seeing all the victims he had killed in the past.
She was Christmas tree shopping with her mom, and noticed that all the trees in one section had died. The First was embodied by Jenny Calendar, Giles' ex-girlfriend. The Bringers were also in the episode. The First was trying to get Angel to kill himself, because he had a soul, and would have been important in the fight against the First (which happened in the last episode of the series). Spike took Angel's place. That was the first time The First was mentioned on-screen. The First took the persona of everyone who had died.
