Experience I've seen every Buffy episode at least 5 times, and i've seen every Angel episode at least 3 times.
Question why was the buffy in this episode so hardcore? was she always meant to be this way? how did the master kill her so easily
Answer The Buffy in Wishverse was so hardcore because she dedicated everything to being the slayer. She had no friends or family to keep her happy, no Angel to love her or to cause her to love in return. And the Master defeated her so easily for the same reason. Her emotions made Buffy a better fighter but when she was fighting the master in Wishverse it wasn't personal like when the real Buffy was ready to sacrifice herself to kill him in season 1.
