Buick/Olds/98 Olds Intrigue AC light Blinks - No air

Question
I have a 98 Intrigue. It has a dual digital temp control head. When I press the AC button it just blinks a few times and goes out. The AC never kicks in. I assumed I had a bad head and replaced it with a used one. One replaced the new unit gave me the same result. Do I have another problem or is this head unit also bad? I've checked all the fuses and all were fine. Please Help. Thanks!

Answer
check your wire to the compressor...have someone turn the a/c on, push the button, and listen to see if there is a click when it should engage. If not, start the engine and repeat. if the clutch does not engage on the compressor...there is either no power getting to it, or it is inoperative.  they can check that at Autozone.
