Building Homes or Extensions/Bouncy I Joint Floor

Question
Dave, I have a 10 yr old house where they used engineered I joists.  When my 20 lbs dog runs from our kitchen into our family room the floor bounces a lot.  Trying to figure out how to use a strong back (how to bulid, out of what, etc.) or some other bracing tenique to eliminate the bounce.  Any ideas?
Thanks,
Scott

Answer
Hi Scott,
Without knowing the length and depth of the joists, all I can imagine is that they are a little under-designed.( although when dogs walk, they tend to nearly leave the floor totally, then land at once, rather than always having one foot always on the floor like us humans).
So, you could send me some dimensions and we'll get this sorted out...
Span, depth and width of joist if more than 3".
