Question
Sir.when designing a four storeys building with expansion joint due to the length of the structure, what kind of foundation will you design at the joint of the sructure which will obviously be double wall?

Answer
Oyong,  this is sounding a bit like a homework question.  I think the larger issue is the bearing system of the building.  Steel columns and steel superstructure should have an expansion joint in the exterior brickwork at each columnn.  I don't understand your reference to a double wall.  You might be making reference to a CMU/brick veneer wall.  The expansion joint systems are usually based on lineal footage, thirty foot centers would be typical.
