Our lake house was stained a light grey-  It is now time to redo it- but my wife wants a seafoam green.  What do I need to do to make the new color appear as it should since it is being applied over the grey.  The siding is rough hewn barnsiding.

Tough one, Joe....
If the grey was very light and has faded, you MAY be able to apply the green over it, but I'm afraid the color won't be as it was on a sample.
I would try a small amount on an inconspicuous area first...you may want to play with the colors a bit...
