Building Homes or Extensions/"lean to" shelter

Question
What materials would be needed to constuct an 8'L x 12'W lean to structure adjacent to a camping trailer. I'd like to start at 9ft(high side) and end at 7ft.(low side).

Answer
Hi Paul,
I'm assuming that this is a somewhat "permanent" structure.
So,
Use 4"x6" posts on each corner.      Pressure treated?
On the sides that are to bear the rafters, put 2"x10" on either side of the posts at the height desired.
Use 2"x8" rafters at 16" O.C.
If using shingles, sheath with 1/2"  and add roofing.
If using metal, strap at 24" O.C. and apply metal.
Brace each way at all corners with 45 degree angles about 24" long.
I hope this is clear, if not...mail me again...
Best of luck,
Dave
