Dave,

I am considering buying a piece of land in South Tampa Fl. I am trying to rough estimate my cost basis to see if I can tackle this financially. I have renovated homes, but never built a new one. I know this is tough, however, what is the average cost per square foot to build. Est 4 bed 4 bath one office, 2 car garage etc. approximately 3000 sq feet?

Hi Jen,
Wow, sooo many variables!!
type of construction, interior and exterior finishes,etc, etc...
But, using AVERAGE construction costs here in Maine, you should plan on at least $135.00 per square foot of living area.

Vague, I know, but its all I can do...
