Question
I need about 775 square feet of 4" concrete walkway added around my existing concrete walkway around my pool. It is currently pea gravel and a lot of weeds. Plus I need areas of the existing concrete repaired, especially the seam between the pool and the concrete. What would be a reasonable cost range for a contractor to do this job? Thanks!

Answer
Hi Ramona, 775 sq. ft.  of concrete 4" thick is 10 cubic yards of concrete.  Depending on the cost of concrete in your area this could be as much as 1500 dollars just for materials.  Add labor and possibly a concrete pump to that and you are probably looking at 4-5 dollars a sq. ft. or 3-4,000 dollars depending on how much the contractor has to haul away, and how time consuming the patchwork is. I hope this information helps feel free to write again regarding this or other matters, sincerely bruce e johnson...bejohnsonconsulting.com
