Building Homes or Extensions/extending a half wall

Question
I have a half wall in my loft that I want to extend to the ceiling thus having a floor to ceiling wall that I can put shelving on. The studs and drywall are up, but it is not flush with surrounding walls. What do I do? Also, how do I match the texture on the connecting wall?

Answer
Hi KC, I will need to know how far the walls are from being flush and what walls you are talking about.  The top par of the half wall isn't flush with the bottom half?  and how much are they different?  Also I will need to know what kind of texture is on the walls that you are trying to match.  Is it an orange peel texture, a skip trowel,  or other form of stucco type of texture.  Please write back and I can futher answer your question.  Thanks..sincerely bruce e johnson
