Question
What is the easiest and best way and what product will waterproof exterior real stucco. House was built around 1930. There is paint on the stucco now and water is getting through? Thank you so much.

Answer
Hi Stephen, A good elastomeric paint should work provided it is applied properly.  Any good exterior paint should really work as long as enough of it is put on.  Sherwin Williams has a neat little gauge you can use to determine the thickness of paint as it is applied.  Try to get the thickness recommended by the manufacturer for a good waterproof coating.I hope this information helps feel free to write again regarding this or other matters, sincerely bruce e johnson..bejohnsonconsulting.com
