Question
I am going to reside my house; my contractor wants to replace the existing blackboard with OSB plywood.Which has a better R-value the blackboard or the OSB plywood. I also plan to wrap the house. Which is better tyvek or foil wrap?
                                      Thanks for your help!

Answer
Hi Johnny,

First, neither product has an R rating that amounts to much. I suppose the blackboard is a tiny bit better, and the OSB is a lot stronger.

Tyvek would be a better wrap, as foil will oxidize with the presence
of the least amount of moisture and become useless.

Best of luck, and please mail me again if you need...
