Building Homes or Extensions/concrete topping

Question
the slab out front of my garage has several cracks in it and I would like to try to cover them up. I remember once on a home show, someone either topping the concrete or painting over it with some kind of coating where you could not even tell the concrete had been cracked. What would be the way to go.

Answer
Hi Chris, there is a product called "Pavecrete" that can be used to top concrete.  You can fill the cracks with it and then use it to top the whole slab.  It will require a good cleaning of the old slab, then it needs to be acid etched, washed again, dried and then painted with a latex bonding agent.  At this point you fill the cracks and then begin to trowel the pavecrete over the top of the slab.  Be sure to follow the pavecrete directions as accurately as possible. I hope this information helps feel free to write again regarding this or other matters, sincerely bruce e johnson..bejohnsonconsulting.com
