Question
Hi Bruce, I saw a question from 2008 that was similar to my issue, My Mom's house has the main entry underneath a valley coming down to an inside corner. I need to extend this roof to cover the stairs and landing leading to the door. Does not need to be extended much more than 4 feet. How would I attempt this. Thankyou in advance BOB
Answer Hi Bob, it appears from your drawing that the eaves at the inside corner of your roof are level. I would build a simple shed roof with the two inside sides attached to your eave rafters and then tipped to the outside corner for drainage. That would be the simplest way. You would have one corner post which would be a few inches lower than the eaves so that water will drain in that direction. I hope this information helps, please feel free to write again regarding this or other matters, sincerely bruce e johnson..bejohnsonconsulting.com
