Question

IMG_1008.jpg
I had metal facia installed all around our home about 5 years ago.  Recently a section disappeared, and the company that originally installed wants $250 to replace an 8" by about 10 feet.  Can you suggest any other options.  Thanks,  Scott

Answer
Hi Scott,
It seems like they may have not attached it properly... although at this point it would be difficult to prove.
The only other option is if you want to do it yourself, but the
problem is, the material (1 roll) would be $100. and a brake rental
would add $50.
If you can see up close to where the fascia is missing, see if you can find how many fasteners were used. If there are only 1 or so nails used to attach the 1 peice, THEY are at fault.

It looks like they used a channel on top and hoped it would hold...
and it didn't.
Also, $250 seems a bit steep.
