Question
first questio, explain the use of formwork in floor construction .second question, what are the functional requirement of opening.third quetion, what do you use linted and arches for in window

Answer
Hi oye, if you are going to pour an elevated slab then the bottom elevation of the slab would be formwork.  Posts and beams are set up and the plywood formwork is installed on top of that.  Once the concrete is poured and the concrete is up to strength you remove the formwork.  Not sure what you are asking regarding opening in question 2..For lintels over windows I use a pre cast lintel made specifically for the opening or form and pour a concrete beam over the window.  If there is an arch then you form the arch within the formwork for the window so that when the forms are stripped your arch is in place.  I hope this information helps, feel free to write again regarding this or other matters, sincerely, bruce e johnson..bejohnsonconsulting.com
