Building Homes or Extensions/enclosing a screened porch

Question
I want to enclose an existing 12'x19' screened room with concrete sloped
flooring. We want to use it as an additional room while keeping the natural light
that it provides. First, we need to level it and don't know how to do that. Second,
what's the best thing to use, windows or sliding glass doors. (it's attached to
house).

Answer
Hi Jenie, Leveling up the floor can be done with concrete, just pour new concrete that is level and at the height you want.  Or you can cut some tapered 2x4 pressure treated joists and put them on the slab and top them with plywood subflooring...I would use sliding glass doors for accessibility and ease of installation.  I hope this information helps, feel free to write again regarding this or other matters, sincerely, bruce e johnson..bejohnsonconsulting.com
