Building Homes or Extensions/Wiring lights and outlets

Question
Hi.  I am doing some rewiring in a bathroom I am remodeling.  The house was built in 1956 and has old wiring.  I need to upgrade the wiring for a couple light fixtures and two outlets in the bathroom.  The lights are on a 20 amp breaker.  The outlets are on another 20 amp breaker.  Can I use 14/2 WG wire for the lights and outlets?  Thank you.  Jeff

Answer
Hi Jeff, I would use 14/3 because of the ground wire..but the 14 gauge wire should be okay for a couple of lights and bathroom outlets.  I hope this information helps feel free to write again regarding this or other matters, sincerely bruce e johnson..bejohnsonconsulting.com
