Building Homes or Extensions/old siding nails and wrapping house

Question
We just removed old shingle siding from our 1950's home and there are nails sticking out all over the place from the siding.  Do we need to remove these nails before wrapping the house, or can we just pound them in the rest of the way and install the house wrap over the top?
Thank you for your expertise!

Answer
Hi Hillary, you can just pound them in.  Some of them you will probably want to pull for various reasons but pounding them in is acceptable.  ...I hope this information helps feel free to write again regarding this or other matters, sincerely bruce e johnson..bejohnsonconsulting.com
