Question
Would you please be able to advise how to build a block of stairs to a first floor level from a lower ground level on a new build project. The stairs would need to be tied to the building??? How would you tie in the stairs. The building in a two storey at the front and three storey at the back. The stairs lead to the front of the building and are positioned on the side of the building.

There would need to be protection from damp?

Kindest regards,

Answer
Hi Janet, I would need to know what type of building structure you are talking about.  Is it a wood structure?  Masonry?  Concrete?  Do the stairs need to run parallel to the wall or at right angles? What are the heights needed?  If you would care to write me back I will be able to answer your question more accurately.  Sincerely bruce e johnson.
