Building Homes or Extensions/Concrete Repair

Question
I have an outdoor concrete window sill that has a large chunck of concrete missing. I only noticed this after moving into house. How can I repair this?
Many Thanks
Marie

Answer
Hi Marie, you can patch it with a concrete patching mix.  Make sure the area is clean.  Mix the concrete patcher into the consistency of dough and press it onto the broken sill and smooth it out with a putty knife or trowel.  Be sure to press it on well.  If it is a big thick chunk then you might want to drill into the sill in a few places with a small concrete bit and stick some galvanized nails into the holes to act as dowels to help hold the patch in place.  I hope this information helps feel free to write again regarding this or other matters.  Sincerely bruce e johnson..bejohnsonconsulting.com
