Question
Hi,
I'm currently residing my house, I've never done siding before and would like to know if i should do my sofit first and butt the corner post up to it or install the corner post and cut the sofit around the post.

Answer
Hi David, I usually do the corner trim up to the soffit for a cleaner look.  But you can do the corner trim before the soffit just cut it to soffit height or in the case of metal soffit you can run your soffit wall angle prior to trimming your corners. I hope this information helps, feel free to write again regarding this or other matters, sincerely bruce e johnson..bejohnsonconsulting.com
