Question
l want to build a single story extension, the full length of the back and side of the house.l would be grateful if you would tell me the best cost effected way of building the floor, should l use wood, concrete, or concrete block and beam.

Answer
Hi ronnie the most cost effective form of foundation and floor system is the mono lithic concrete slab where the foundation footing and the slab are poured together in one pour.  This type of foundation/ floor slab saves you in labor and materials.   I hope this information helps feel free to write again regarding this or other matters, sincerely bruce e johnson..bejohnsonconsulting.com
