A couple of weeks ago you gave me such great advice and am going forward with it, but I have been told that there are tons of fees involved in building a home, even if it is a 1200 sq.ft. one. What kind of fees are they referring to and how much should I have for these fees? Thanks and again please respond asap as time is very crucial right now since hurricane season is here.

Hi Esther,
There are so many variables from state to state and city to city in the charges for building and
plumbing permits that any thing I say here would most likely be in error. Go to your contractor and ask, or better yet go to the local building codes office (city hall) and ask this question. They will know exactly!!
