Building Homes or Extensions/interior cinder block

Question
My porch has AC/heat but it's still warm in the summer and cold in the winter. Most walls are cinder block and the rest is windows. I'm on a very tight budget and would like the "look" of the cinder block to disappear.  I thought of canvas on the windows and the walls but I don't care for the look.  I thought to put up styrofoam on the wall then add fabric but do I need to prep the wall first before attaching the styrofoam?  What do you suggest would be the least expensive way to go?

Answer
Hi Maddy, you shouldn't need to prep the wall for the foam board.  The board can be glued onto the wall with Liquid Nails..Whether or not your fabric will look good on the foam board depends on the fabric I guess.  I hope this information helps, please feel free to write again regarding this or other matters, sincerely bruce e johnson..bejohnsonconsulting.com
