Building Homes or Extensions/texture odor

Question
Hi - I read a previous post regarding the rotten egg/sour bad odor that can come from a hopper. Yesterday we had texture sprayed on 1/4 of the rooms in our house. The entire house still smells - even after being aired out for the past 24 hours. Since no other step has taken place yet (paint) - is there something that should be done to remedy this smell first? Are there any long term issues I shoudl be aware of?

Answer
Hi Robin,
I'm assuming you mean the hopper used in texture spray application. The odor should be gone after the material is thoroughly dry (several days). After painting there will be no odor even on damp days. As far as long-term, I'd say there would be nothing to be concerned about...

Best of luck,

Dave
