Building Homes or Extensions/Condensation Stain on Bathroom Ceiling

Question
I suspect there's something wrong with my bathroom fan not removing the condensation from the bathroom after each shower as every time a shower is taken, approx. 2 feet to the right of the fan, I have a reoccuring stain that is appearing through to the popcorn ceiling-it is wet to the touch and getting bigger. It only happens immediately after taking a shower, with the fan on so I think I can rule out a leak from the roof when it's raining.

Please advise best next step! I will most likely have to climb into the attic space above the bathroom to assess the fan, right?

Answer
Hi Pam,.
Your fan duct must be clogged. Either some "creature" has made a nest or perhaps the duct work has become crushed.
That does seem like a lot of moisture though, for one shower.
If the  fan has a positive exhaust (outside) see if there is any air flow when the fan is on.
If not exhausted to the exterior, you may want to consider doing that... Best of luck,

Dave
