Question
QUESTION: The house is a block / stucco finish with a built in
screened lanai. The roof covers the lanai. All of the lanai
is incorporated into the house, linai window area has a
lintel.

My big concern is/are vapor barrier on all walls, cement
floor and ceiling.
There is a lot of conflicting info on the subject.
I thought I would fur strip then sheet rock. Can not seem to
find the answer on if I need to do anything with vapor
barrier. IF SO HOW AND WHY.

Ceiling has sheet rock in place , so plan to  just fill in
with insulation.
Put 4 mill plastic on floor then wood floor.
Buck the window opening install windows.
Don't want extra electrical
Remove my French doors let the air conditioning in or later
tap into the preplanned over sized air unit we just bought.
I plan to do all the work myself.
What else  am I forgetting?

ANSWER: Hi Steve, looks like you pretty much have it covered.  If you have good ac and you have a decent roof you don't need to worry more about moisture..you have a vapor barrier on the floor slab.  So you have that taken care of. Go for it..sincerely bruce

QUESTION: Some  are suggesting using foam then fur strip over/through
the foam then the sheet rock.
For the window buck 14'x5' I plan to use 30# paper under the
PT.
I'm having a hard time finding any dry PT. Can I paper the
block opening and use pine sealed with liquid flashing?

Thanks

Steve

Answer
Hi Steve..I like the dense foam board with the furring strips on top..If you give your pressure treated wood a few days to dry out it is preferred over regular wood..I prefer to use the peel and stick ice and water shield instead of plain felt paper but either one is acceptable..Sincerely Bruce
