Question
we want to convert our 2 car garage into a master bedroom suite and it measures 24 by 24 it has already air/heated run to this space and plumbing can be added to existing house. about how much money are we looking at if we do most of the work ourselves?

Answer
Brenda, this is totally subject to the finishes you select.  I would think that $50/SF would be realistic.  Some things to consider:
What material will you use to close in the garage doors?
Will you being doing much work on the outside to do away with the "closed in the garage" look?
Will you be raising or leveling the floor?
If you are working off the existing floor, does it have a vapor barrier?
Insulation
Electrical work
HVAC
Bathrooms can be VERY expensive.  I take you at your word that you can make sewer grade.
The rest is drywall and paint, both relatively inexpensive.
