Building Homes or Extensions/exterior insulation

Heklo,
I live in Thunder Bay On Canada. I am installing new vinyl siding on my home. Before the siding I would like to install 1.5" Johns mansville AP foil faced rigid insulation. My question being is 1.5" thick enough to prevent moisture within the wall cavity. Wall construction now is 2x6 with an interior vapour barrier.

Hi Scott, It should help but I would make sure that before the siding goes on I would install felt paper or a house wrap over the insulation. I hope this information helps, please feel free to write again regarding this or other matters, sincerely bruce e johnson..bejohnsonconsulting.com
