Building Homes or Extensions/putting in a double sided stove

Question
Hi Bruce,
I'm putting in a double sided stove where there was originally a fire place either side of the dividing wall, I haven't started to cut the block work out yet because I'm concerned about the safety aspect although I have already taken out the fireplaces and put in two 6" lintels at 1300. When(if) the block work comes out there will only be 8" under each side of the lintels. The plan is to build brick inside the opening and span the gap with a brick arch. Do you think this is safe(stove is already bought)?

James

Answer
Hi James, I'm not quite sure what you are asking here.  You say you have the lintels already installed and yet you are still concerned about brick falling down? Is there something I am missing?  and the 1300 has me confused.  Maybe you can elucidate further?  sincerely bruce
