Question
i'm selling my home the home inspector told the buyers that the roof rafters are insufficent 2x6 instead of 2x8 the home was built in 1977 i belive that was code then in new hampshire any idea if it was and will i have to replace entire roof

Answer
Many roof rafters are still 2x6 today depending on span, pitch and snow load calculations for an area. Most if not all houses built in 77 would not meet current code requirements. It's nothing to worry about and the home inspector should have pointed that out also.
