Question
I'm building a outdoor shed on cement piers 6 inchs off the ground. I get some water run off that goes under the shed when it rains hard. What type of flooring should I use for dampness?
dvantech plywood, regular plywood or what ? Should I spray water water repellent on the underside of the plywood? Their in no direct contact with water just dampness.

Answer
Hi Bob, I would definitely use pressure treated plywood.  Let it dry real good and prior to installing it soak it good with Thompson's water seal.  That should do it.  Be sure to use either stainless steel or coated deck screws when attaching the plywood to the joists. I would also glue the plywood to the joists with a good exterior grade Liquid Nails.  I hope this information helps, please feel free to write again regarding this or other matters, sincerely bruce e johnson..bejohnsonconsulting.com
