Question
I am in the process of making plans to build my residential house. I luv spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. My piece of land is 19 metres by 29 metres and am planning to build a house with two levels with a parking lot and a small garden. Please advise the best size for the master bedroom and master bath that - possibly semiluxurious size.

Answer
Hi Rusa, a bedroom, including the walk in closets should be around 8 meters x 6 meters with the adjoining master bath 2  meters x 6 meters so the combined space of master bath and master bedroom would be approximately 10 meters x 6 meters..but size is relative.  You should do a drawing to scale one centimeter equals a meter and then draw in your furniture and how you would place it in the room, the closet, the bathroom appliances such as tub and shower and toilet and see how it all fits.  Allow at least a meter around three sides of the bed and that would include a meter between the bed and any dressers.  I hope this information helps, feel free to write again regarding this or other matters, sincerely, bruce e johnson..bejohnsonconsulting.com
