Building Homes or Extensions/Scraping noise in attic when windy

Question
We recently moved into a 2 story home and every time it is really windy outside I hear a noise that sounds like a tree branch scraping and knocking right above me in the master bedroom where the ceiling meets the outside brick wall. I've looked in the attic, no animals or loose wood, everything seems to be nailed down. We've had a few roofers also look into it, but no one found anything different. Pl help!

Answer
Hi again Sonia, I think I answered this question already but I had another thought on the subject.  What kind of soffit do you have outside?  If you have a ventilated metal soffit it could be that when the wind blows a piece of the soffit lifts and scrapes, making the noise.  Look around the perimeter of your attic where your venting is its possible that wind blowing through the venting is moving something inside the attic as well.   Sincerely Bruce Johnson
