Building Homes or Extensions/Waterseal

Question
I have several gallons of Johnsons Water Seal and I need to cover existing picnic benches.  They already have Cedar stain on them and we have sanded off the rough spots.  Is there something we can add to the water seal to approximate the old color.

Answer
William, I suspect you have Thompson's Water Seal.  Thompson's makes tinted sealers.  Go here for information:

I think the paint department can add some tint to what you have, but they should know.  The other thing would be to stain the sanded areas before the sealer.  All paint work requires some experimenting in inconspicuous areas.
