Building Homes or Extensions/drivets

Question
How do you repair a drivet wall with holes?

Answer
Donald, it makes a difference how large the holes are.

Dryvit is a brand name for EIFS.  You will not be able to buy Dryvit brand goods as they sell only to licensed and trained applicators.  Sto is also only available to professionals.  There are some other brands that can be bought - Parex is one.  The quantities may be too large for small repairs and so the cost might be prohibitive.  The normal process is to install Styrofoam panels on the building, usually glued on with the same polymer modified cement that is the base coat.   Once the sheathing is in place, the base material which is concrete gray is applied to the foam at about 1/8" thick and a nylon mesh ( not the stuff for taping drywall) is troweled into the wet cement and totally embedded.  Once that layer is dry the finish coat can be troweled on with a fiberglass float in a swirling pattern.  The heavy grains in the finish coat create the fissures that you probably have.  Here is a fairly readable PDF from Dryvit on repair, but it is meant for the professional:

If the holes are quite small they can be caulked with a colored caulk that gets close to the original color.  Titebond makes a fantastic array of caulks that would be excellent for the task with many colors:

Perhaps your best solution would be contact an EIFS contractor and let him advise you on the best solution and give you an indication of the cost for him to proceed.
