Question
hoping you can help me i'm looking to try and find a blueprint for a hip roof for a 8x8 shed i have general framing knownlegde and have build garages and pole barns in the past but not sure how to tackle a hip roof with the cuting angles and measurements any help would be great
8x8 shed with a 2' overhang and a 4/12 picth
Hi Josh. Most rafter framing books have the info you need..also every framing or speed square has the info you need stamped on it..find the pitch you want but use the "hip" marks in the hip column. If you don't have a framing square, buy one, they usually come with a rafter book with the info you need as well..sincerely Bruce Johnson
