Building Homes or Extensions/Laminate Header Beams

Question
What can I expect to pay for a 20-foot, laminate header beam?

Answer
Hi Brad, the size of the beam will determine the cost..i.e. a 20 foot span will require two LVLs 1 3/4" x 16" minimum each LVL costing approximately 10 bucks a lineal foot..check with your local truss manufacturer or lumber yard for a more exact price and engineering determination based on your actual "loading" and the beam requirement.
