Question
what is ment by winter building?
Hi dilip, out of context this is a difficult question..it can refer to building in the winter and precautions that have to be taken, i.e.protecting concrete from freezing, keeping moisture out of the shell during the framing and sheathing phases etc..
Or the term can refer to the type of construction needed for building in areas with extreme cold that require specific foundations that are supported below the frost line and other weather related protections, dual pane insulated glass, high R factor in wall and roof insulation etc.
Is there a specific context in which you are using this term?
